2021 Distinguished Service Award

With the mission of the Midland Public Schools serving as its focus, the Board of Education acknowledges the valuable contributions made by its support staff in providing an excellent education for our students. A quality educational system can only occur when every employee group works together to promote the welfare of the students and the community it serves.

To further recognize the effort put forth by members of our support staff, the Midland Public Schools’  Board of Education has established the "Distinguished Service Award" to be presented annually.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday May 28, 2021 and can be submitted here

Jeffrey Pennex Woodcrest Elementary School is a Midland Public School (MPS) committed to providing a high-quality elementary education for all students from kindergarten through fifth grade. We are proud of Woodcrest Elementary School's tradition of excellence of education. Woodcrest is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School, Primary Years Programme (PYP). This program prepares students to be active participants in a lifelong journey of learning and focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The Woodcrest community is diverse, welcoming students from many different countries. We enjoy working in partnership with our parents and our community.
